About this board game

Snapshot is a flicking game for 2–6 players with a playing time of about 30 minutes. Each player uses a wooden disc and a set of task cards to complete missions in a shared arena.

At the start of a turn, everyone reveals their top task card. Each card shows a goal that must be reached with the player’s own disc by flicking it with a thumb and finger. Throwing is not allowed, so every attempt depends on careful control and precise movement.

The arena is filled with obstacles that complicate every task. These obstacles move whenever they are hit by snapped discs, constantly changing the playing area. Opponents’ discs also remain in the arena, often ending up in positions that make your next attempt more difficult.

  • Flick wooden discs to complete task-card goals.
  • Adapt to obstacles that move when struck.
  • Work around opponents’ discs in the shared playing area.
  • Use bonus spots to gain helpful advantages.

Several spots in the arena offer bonuses, including taking a gem, receiving an extra turn, or placing a barrier in the playing area. These opportunities can add valuable choices as you try to complete your missions while managing the changing arena.

Once a player completes a task, they reveal the next card and begin flicking again. The first player to finish all eight missions and collect two gemstones of each type wins the game. With moving obstacles, lingering discs, and precise flicking at the heart of play, Snapshot turns every attempt into a changing tactical challenge.
