Mummy’s Treasure

About this board game

Mummy’s Treasure is a quick tile-placement game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 10 minutes. Each player takes an excavation site board: a rectangular grid designed as an Egyptian archaeological site.

In the shared play area, stacks of treasure tiles are arranged by size and shape. Every tile contains between one and four treasures and displays a particular combination of artifacts. On your turn, roll the five treasure dice and look for a tile that matches the symbols you rolled.

Each die shows one of six Egyptian treasures associated with the artifacts of Pharaoh Teubernus:

• A gold lamp
• A gold coin
• A scarab beetle
• A lapis lazuli vase
• Gold and jade jewelry
• A hippo statuette

You may reroll some or all of your dice to pursue a particular tile’s shape and treasure pattern. You can roll up to three times during a turn, giving you opportunities to improve your match before choosing a tile.

When placing a tile, you may rotate it in any direction, but careful planning matters: once laid down, tiles cannot be moved. They may not overlap and cannot extend beyond the edges of your excavation board. The first player to cover their board completely with treasure tiles wins.

Mummy’s Treasure also includes an easier version for children. In that version, players may shift tiles after placing them, making it easier to use additional treasures and complete the excavation site.
