Sauria

About this board game

Sauria is a dinosaur survival board game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 150 minutes. Players compete to complete secret individual goals, earn Victory Points, and reach safety before time runs out.

Each player takes the role of one of eight unique characters, including the ruthless Hunter, friendly Ranger, and no-good Saboteur. Every character has a specific set of goals unknown to the other players, creating personal objectives within the wider struggle to survive.

The game unfolds across 16 rounds, representing 48 in-game hours. Players take turns performing actions, engaging in unique encounters, and interacting with locations throughout the park while dangerous dinosaurs reveal themselves, hunt, attack, and defend against players and other dinosaurs.

At the 24-hour mark, the island becomes even more dangerous as the volcano begins spewing lava. Roads, jungle, and buildings are destroyed, while even the friendliest dinosaurs are thrown into a panic.

When the 16th round ends, the game is over, and any character who has not reached safety is dead. The player with the most Victory Points from completed goals who successfully escapes the island wins. With hidden objectives, shifting dangers, and a strict deadline, Sauria challenges players to hold onto their plans—and their lives—until they can get away.
