About this board game

Ramses II is a memory and treasure-hunting board game for 1–5 players, with play lasting about 30 minutes. Help the scatter-brained Pharaoh locate his hidden treasures while collecting search cards worth points.

Treasure chips are placed on the board and covered with pyramids before the board is spun. On a turn, a player reveals a search card, then slides a pyramid into an empty space to look for the matching treasure. A successful search earns the card, while the treasure chip remains in place.

Careful memory is essential: finding the wrong treasure ends the player’s turn—and can eliminate that player from the game. After each successful discovery, the board is rotated 90 degrees in a chosen direction, continually changing the locations players must remember.

• Treasure cards: Three piles introduce changing point values as the game progresses.
• Event cards: Sandstorms rotate the board and advance the card pile, while Gifts, Risks, Mirages, and Desert Poker create opportunities to gain or lose search cards.
• Final round: In pile 3, all treasures shown on search cards are worth 4 points.

The game ends when every player has been eliminated or the pile 3 End Game card appears. Players then total the points on their collected search cards, and the highest score wins.

With its shifting board, hidden tokens, escalating card piles, and sudden reversals, Ramses II combines memory, risk, and interaction in a compact treasure hunt.
