About this board game

Life of a Chameleon is a 2021 board game for 2–4 players, with each game taking about 45 minutes. You play as a hungry chameleon trying to survive by eating bugs while navigating a board filled with snakes and rival chameleons.

To win, collect specific colors of bugs in the correct order. Players take turns moving around the board and gathering bugs that match their current color, while competing to snatch valuable insects from under one another.

A chameleon can adapt by changing its own color. This lets you eat different bugs and pass safely by snakes that share your hue. The game includes 21 colored chameleon meeples to represent these changes.

• Collect bugs of matching colors and complete objectives in the required order.
• Change your chameleon’s color to access new bugs and move safely past matching snakes.
• Roll to add more bugs to the board throughout the game.
• Use achievement cards for additional actions or alternative scoring opportunities.

Objective cards shape your progress. As players start and complete objectives, they collect achievement cards that can provide additional actions or different ways to score.

Whenever an objective is completed, the active player rolls a die and advances the progress marker along the game track. Once the marker reaches the end, the game finishes and everyone tallies their scores. In Life of a Chameleon, adapting to your surroundings is essential as you hunt, compete, and race to complete your objectives.
