Plutocracy

About this board game

Plutocracy is a board game for 2 to 4 players, with games lasting approximately 90 minutes. Each player leads a major trading corporation, traveling from planet to planet to buy and sell resources.

The central cycle is straightforward: purchase resources and sell them at a higher price to earn Space Euros, or S€. These earnings are essential because players use S€ to buy seats in planetary parliaments, turning commercial success into political influence.

During the game, three elections take place. In each election, the player with a majority in a planetary parliament sends Councilors to the Plutocratic Council. Winning seats in these parliaments is therefore an important route toward the game’s ultimate objective.

Earth offers another way to gain Councilors. While on Earth, players who meet the conditions to join its Societies may also send Councilors to the Plutocratic Council.

• Travel between planets to buy and sell resources.
• Earn S€ by selling resources for more than their purchase price.
• Spend S€ on seats in planetary parliaments.
• Take part in three elections to send Councilors to the Plutocratic Council.
• Meet Society conditions on Earth for another opportunity to add Councilors.

Plutocracy brings together interplanetary commerce, parliamentary elections, and Earth-based Societies. At the end of the game, the player with the most Councilors in the Plutocratic Council achieves the ultimate objective and wins.
