Paperclip Railways

About this board game

Paperclip Railways is a railway-building board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Players create a fantasy landscape, establish railway stations, and connect them with tracks made from paperclips.

At the start of the game, players lay out the landscape where their stations will be built. These stations provide in-game and end-game bonuses, giving each location an important role in the developing railway network.

Players customize the lengths of their railway links using paperclips, then score for the stations they build from and to. The length of each railway connection also contributes to a player’s score, making the shape and reach of the network central to the game.

As the game progresses, players aim to develop railway routes that earn points in several ways. Station bonuses, connection lengths, and achievements all contribute to the final result.

When the game ends, players score for various achievements in addition to their railway and station points. The player with the most victory points wins Paperclip Railways, the fasten-ating railway game where the trains are stationery.
