About this board game

Horrified: DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Ravenloft is a standalone cooperative game for 1–5 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes. In the game, heroes join forces to defend Barovia from four mechanically unique monsters.

Each player takes on the role of a hero with one of five iconic Dungeons & Dragons classes. The group must strategize and adapt as it faces a different challenge from each monster, working together to overcome the threats before terror overwhelms them.

Gameplay alternates between two distinct phases. During the hero phase, one player can move around the board, guide villagers, pick up valuable items, and work toward defeating the monsters. The heroes must coordinate their actions and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

During the monster phase, the monsters wreak havoc across Barovia, attacking both heroes and villagers alike. Their distinct challenges create unique puzzles for the group to solve, making careful planning and flexible decisions essential.

Horrified: DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Ravenloft brings the cooperative structure of the Horrified series to a D&D-inspired setting, with a focused roster of heroes and four distinctive adversaries. Whether managing villagers, collecting valuable items, or confronting the monsters directly, players must work together before the growing terror becomes too much.
