About this board game

Student Bodies is a horror survival board game for 2–5 players that plays in about 90 minutes, set in a zombie-filled high school. Every player begins bitten and infected, with one desperate objective: reach the science lab, find an antidote, and return to the exit first.

This is an “I just have to outrun you” game with no guns or chainsaws. Players must be resourceful, sometimes surviving without a weapon and relying on movement and evasive choices. The school’s corridors are dangerous, and every other person on the board is a potential threat.

• Race from the starting area to the science lab and back to the exit.
• Choose whether to fight zombies or hinder another player.
• Face a changing board and customizable zombie AI deck.
• Continue playing as a deadly smart zombie after dying before taking the antidote.

Survival can mean killing a zombie—or tripping a friend into a crowd of undead classmates to slow them down or eliminate them. Only the first survivor through the exit lives, locking the door behind them to help prevent the outbreak from spreading.

Death does not necessarily remove a player from the game. Anyone who dies before taking an antidote rises as a smart zombie, keeping their full hand and hunting the living. Zombie players can even win cooperatively by killing everyone else.

With randomized board elements and a customizable zombie AI deck, Student Bodies keeps its desperate horror scenario fresh while allowing its difficulty to be raised or lowered significantly. Its grim situation creates tension, while the extreme lengths players take to survive provide the dark humor.
