About this board game

Im Reich der Jadegöttin is a jungle exploration game for 2–4 players that plays in about 60 minutes. It is the first game in a trilogy based on Klaus Teuber’s classic exploration game Entdecker.

Players venture into the jungle in search of rare artifacts, including the Jade statue referenced in the title. Instead of sailing as in the original game, explorers drive around in Jeeps, giving this new setting its own distinctive character.

The game retains a tile-placement system similar to that of Entdecker. As the jungle is explored, players work toward discovering valuable finds hidden across the developing landscape. The central twist comes from the artifacts themselves: they must be found in separate pieces before they can be completed.

  • 18 artifacts to discover
  • Each artifact consists of 4 parts
  • A jungle setting explored by Jeep
  • Tile placement inspired by Entdecker

This combination of familiar exploration and a new artifact-discovery system places the focus on uncovering the jungle’s rare treasures. The Jade statue is one of the notable artifacts players may seek during their expedition.

Im Reich der Jadegöttin begins a planned trilogy of related exploration games. Two further titles were announced for publication in 2008: Im Reich der Wüstensöhne, or In the Realm of the Desert Sons, and Im Reich der Dämonen, or In the Realm of the Demons.
