About this board game

ECO: Coral Reef is a strategic tile-laying game for 2–4 players, with plays lasting about 60 minutes. Released in 2022, it challenges participants to create a shared image of a vibrant coral reef from colorful marine-life picture tiles.

Players plan and place variant tiles to expand and reshape the reef. Each participant has a personal, hidden interest determined by their goals, so the developing mosaic can create both challenges and new opportunities.

Success comes from balancing the changing shared image with your own objectives. As the reef takes shape, players work toward:

• Collecting and placing picture tiles
• Matching marine species
• Completing missions
• Advancing a personal sea turtle toward the water line and victory

The result is a fast strategic experience in which every placement contributes to a colorful collective picture while also serving individual ambitions. Because goals are hidden, the interests behind each move are not always immediately clear, adding uncertainty to the evolving reef.
