About this board game

Living Planet: Deluxe Edition is a 1–4 player game of exploration, industrial expansion, resource trading, and planetary catastrophe, with play lasting about 120 minutes. Released in 2019, it challenges rival Galactic Corporations to generate as much profit as possible before the planet MYC.14.250 self-destructs.

Players expand the map by exploring the planet, then manage their teams and factory buildings to extract resources. Those resources can be traded through the stock market to make money, while buildings and vehicles help shape each corporation’s growing operation. Competition unfolds through the planet itself as players pursue their own interests.

Cataclysms are central to the game, but they are not simply random events. Players trigger them through their actions by using their card sets, creating a constant need to handle the consequences of planetary instability. Each turn, players take on the leader role in rotation, with the leader choosing the order in which the turn’s sequence is resolved.

  • Actions such as Explore, Move, Construct, and Trade

This Deluxe Edition is housed in a large black box with slots for the base game and all expansions. It includes the core set with additional content not found in the retail edition, including a campaign book with five scenarios, four map tiles, four technical units, five spatioports, three recycling factories, and component upgrades.

The set also includes Living Planet: Industria. At the end of the game, corporations earn victory points based on their money and the buildings and vehicles they control, making every investment and risky planetary development count.
