About this board game
Funky Chicken is a fast-paced card game for 3–6 players that plays in about two minutes. Designed to get everyone moving and laughing, it replaces turns with a simultaneous rush of calls, matches, and dance moves.
Each player works to discard all their cards. Players call out one of four actions—“Bump,” “Swing,” “Spin,” or “Funky Chicken”—while searching for someone calling the same action. When two players match, they perform that move together and discard their card.
- No turns: everyone plays at the same time.
- Four matching actions: Bump, Swing, Spin, and Funky Chicken.
- Perform a matching move together to discard a card.
- The first player to discard all their cards wins.
The result is a simple, energetic party game that can begin and end in minutes. Its presentation adds to the fun, with a disco chicken sporting a cool pair of shades, while the quick rules make it easy to get players involved almost immediately.
Play Funky Chicken on its own for a compact burst of silly movement, or combine it with Happy Salmon for a crazy alternative to beefy strategy games. If you have two minutes and a group ready to call, move, match, and laugh, this free-range chicken is ready to get funky.
