Star Wars Miniatures Battles

About this board game

Star Wars Miniatures Battles is a skirmish-level tabletop game for 2–3 players, with sessions lasting around 120 minutes. Released in 1991, it lets players command squads of Star Wars miniatures in battles across the galaxy.

Each player assembles an army of 6–60 soldiers, organized into squads, then agrees on a number of Squad Generation Points to purchase troops and equipment. Players deploy their squads on the tabletop and face one another in direct combat.

Choose your side in the struggle between the Old Republic and the New Order. You can lead troops against the Empire to rekindle the Republic, or command stormtroopers seeking to crush the Rebels and extinguish that hope.

An optional game master rule set supports hidden deployment and hidden movement. The advanced game expands the battlefield with additional rules for special weapons, heroes, the Force, creatures, droids, and weather.

Star Wars Miniatures Battles is compatible with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game and can be expanded with Star Wars Miniatures Battles Companion, Star Wars Miniatures Battles: Vehicles Starter Set, and Star Wars Miniatures Battles: Imperial Entanglements. The game is designed for use with Star Wars miniatures.
