Martian Coasters

About this board game

Martian Coasters is a 2–5-player maze game with a playing time of about 30 minutes. Using a single Treehouse set, Martian Coasters, and a standard d6, players guide their colored pieces through a changing arrangement of mazes.

The game begins with the coasters arranged in a square. Each coaster features a colored 3×3 maze, and the pieces are placed on coasters of different colors. Your objective is to move the pieces of your color through the maze and onto the goal square at the center of your coaster.

• A Treehouse die for reorienting and moving the coasters

The Treehouse die adds a distinctive layer to movement. It allows players to reorient and move the coasters, changing the relationships between the mazes and creating a constantly shifting route to each central goal. The board itself does not remain fixed, so the path your pieces need to follow can change during play.

Martian Coasters is also playable by five players when used with an expansion coaster. The coaster was sent to the Looney Labs Christmas Mailing List in 2006 and was later made available for sale through the Looney Labs website.
