About this board game

Wreck and Ruin is a vehicle miniature board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. Set in the not-too-distant future of a post-apocalyptic world, it challenges rival factions to build convoys, claim salvage, and outmaneuver their opponents.

Players assemble their forces from four classes of vehicles, each with a distinct role on the battlefield. Scouts are fast and can shoot on the move, but they are weak. Buggies can repair other vehicles, while wreckers are powerful machines designed to crush opposing vehicles. Big rigs are slow, but deliver strong attacks and can soak up damage while continuing onward.

  • Scouts: fast, mobile vehicles that can shoot on the move
  • Buggies: support vehicles capable of repairing others
  • Wreckers: powerful vehicles built to ram and crush opponents
  • Big rigs: durable vehicles with strong attacks

The game unfolds across a series of tiles, creating different challenges from one play to the next. Fight for control of salvage sites placed across the map: they provide victory points and also offer access to salvage cards.

Each player spends action points to move, repair, shoot, or ram. Tactical positioning affects how many dice you roll, making placement an important part of every encounter. Salvage cards provide special equipment that can help at a critical moment, whether they are bought or found.

The wasteland itself is dangerous too. Event cards affect the entire board, potentially hindering carefully planned moves—and, on rare occasions, helping instead. With competing vehicle roles, shifting board challenges, and tactical decisions around salvage, Wreck and Ruin brings convoy warfare and post-apocalyptic conflict to the tabletop.
