About this board game

Legend: History of 1000 Miglia is a 1–6 player racing game with a 45-minute play time, recreating the legendary Italian road race from 1927 to 1933.

This first chapter in the series follows the 1000 Miglia route from Brescia to Rome and back. Across 15 stages, large hexagons form the Italian countryside and its winding roads, challenging drivers to find the right balance between speed and control.

The game presents a playful simulation of historic motorsport. Its 19 cars, including machines from Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Mercedes, and other major brands, have distinct handling, engine performance, and reliability based on historical and technical research.

  • Prepare your car by acquiring spare parts and abilities.
  • Plan your speed for each turn and navigate curves and altitude gradients.
  • Manage mechanical issues across 14 different areas of the car.
  • Adapt to changing weather, daylight, and nighttime conditions.
  • Race directly alongside opponents while also competing against their times.

Every decision carries a cost as drivers push their cars through 1000 miles of difficult roads and demanding conditions. Careful preparation and speed must be weighed against wear, reliability, and the risk of technical trouble.

In Legend: History of 1000 Miglia, victory goes to the driver who returns to Brescia with the fastest time. Previously known as 1000 Miglia: Dawn of the Myth, it captures the early years of one of motor racing’s toughest competitions.
