Suspense: the Card Game is a fast deduction and bluffing game for exactly 3 players, with rounds that take about 15 minutes. Designed for ages 12 and up, it challenges players to identify a hidden victory condition while trying to satisfy it themselves.

At the start of each round, every player receives a hand of four cards. One final card is placed face-down in the middle of the table, secretly determining the round’s victory condition. There are 13 possible conditions, based on having the highest or lowest number in play or in hand, with some conditions also referring to black or white numbers.

Your cards provide valuable clues. By examining your hand, you can deduce which victory conditions cannot be active, narrowing the possibilities as the round progresses. You have only a few turns to work through the information, interpret the other players’ choices, and find the condition you can meet.

The dealer has an especially powerful role: they know the secret victory condition. Other players will closely watch the dealer’s decisions for clues, while the dealer may attempt to create false leads and send everyone down the wrong path. In Suspense: the Card Game, careful observation and clever deception are just as important as deduction.
