Bananagrams Duel!

About this board game

Bananagrams Duel! is a two-player word game that takes about 10 minutes, challenging players to race against each other while building crossword grids from letter cubes.

To begin, each player takes 12 letter cubes, and the banana cards are placed face down within reach. When either player calls “Go!”, both players simultaneously use any side of their cubes to form a personal word grid. Words must run horizontally or vertically, from left to right or top to bottom, and every word must connect or intersect within one unified grid.

Players may rearrange their grids at any time as they work. The first player to complete a grid using all 12 cubes calls “Bananas!” and wins the round. The letter cubes are then mixed together and 12 are redistributed to each player for the next round.

• Classic Duel: Ignore the categories on the banana cards and use them only to track score.
• Themed Game: Reveal a banana card before each round and include at least one word matching its theme.

In Classic Duel, the round winner receives one banana card, and the first player to collect 10 cards wins. In Themed Game, the winning player receives the revealed theme card, with victory likewise going to the first player to collect 10 cards.

With simultaneous play, flexible grid-building, and two ways to use the banana cards, Bananagrams Duel! turns quick word-making into a direct contest of speed and vocabulary.
