About this board game

Crazy Karts is a team-based racing game for 3–8 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Players compete in teams of two, racing their karts while trying to outmaneuver opponents and reach the finish line.

Each teammate controls different parts of the same kart, but communication is strictly forbidden. One player handles the brakes and turns, while the other controls acceleration and fires the cannon. Every move becomes a test of coordination, prediction, and trust, since your partner may not do what you expect.

Teams plan their actions in secret as they navigate the race. They must dodge obstacles, collect power-ups, avoid crashing into walls, and find opportunities to disrupt rival racers with cannon fire. The result is a fast-paced contest filled with unexpected turns, close calls, and plenty of mayhem.

  • Team racing: Compete in teams of two with shared control of each kart.
  • Silent coordination: Plan and act without talking to your teammate.
  • Race hazards: Avoid obstacles and walls while maneuvering around opponents.
  • Special abilities: Use power-ups, cannon fire, and faction powers during the race.

As in other Portal Games titles, Crazy Karts includes four unique factions, each with its own special power. These factions add distinct capabilities to the competing teams and give the race an extra strategic dimension.

If the player count is odd, the Lone Wolf faction allows a single player to compete. This faction has its own set of skills and disadvantages, providing a different way to take part in the chaotic race.
