About this board game

Ablaze! is a three-game fire-themed collection for 1–4 players, with each game taking about 30 minutes. Released in 2010, it offers three distinct ways to manage spreading flames and their consequences.

In Wild Fire!, players take the roles of firefighters trying to contain a spreading wildfire. The fire develops turn by turn as players reveal tiles and place each new tile next to the part of the fire that is currently hottest. Players use their firefighters to cover as much area as possible while remaining connected to a water source.

Volcano! re-implements Vulkan! and is played with the components of Feurio!. This version also includes new airplane and volcano tiles. Players control air tankers, dropping water to extinguish or isolate sections of a fire created by a volcano. The player who saves the most land becomes the hero.

In On the Run!, the same components are used with different rules. Lightning has started a brush fire in the forest, and wildlife is fleeing to avoid being fricasseed. Players must save more animals than anyone else to win.

• On the Run!: save fleeing wildlife from a forest brush fire.

With its shared components and three separate designs, Ablaze! presents a varied set of fire-response challenges. Whether the focus is covering land, protecting territory from volcanic flames, or rescuing animals, each game gives the components a different purpose.
