Jackal: Treasure Island

About this board game

Jackal: Treasure Island is a strategy game for 2–4 players, with play time of about 45 minutes, in which adventurous pirates explore a tile-built island, search for gold and bring it back to their ship.

The island is assembled from tiles, and each tile can reveal a different adventure. As pirates explore, they may encounter a fort, cannon, crocodile or message bottle, or discover a place to dig for one of Captain Jackal’s treasures. The goal is to find gold and successfully return it to the ship.

This edition combines the basic version with an addition that replaces empty meadow tiles with new adventures. The rules remain uniform, while the included FAQ and pirate swearing vocabulary add extra material to the experience.

• Tile-based exploration: Build an island from tiles with different effects and discoveries.

Released in 2011, it presents a pirate adventure built around discovery, treasure and getting the gold safely back to the ship.
