About this board game

Qu’arz is a capture-the-flag board game for 2–4 players, with an approximately 120-minute play time. In this chaotic monster tournament, rival mobs compete to prove they are unique, clever, and worthy of joining the cult of QU’ARZ, the extraterrestrial being who flipped the world upside down.

Each player commands a trio of uniquely savage monsters. Every monster has its own deck of action cards, letting you combine basic movement with that creature’s special abilities as you scheme against the other players.

The central objective is the Crystal Idol. Snatch it from the altar, then race to carry it back to your camp before time runs out. Watch the clock, choose your actions carefully, and look for the decisive play: returning the idol home can deliver an instant victory.

  • For 2–4 players
  • Approximately 120 minutes of play
  • Three monsters per player
  • A unique action-card deck for each monster
  • Capture-the-flag gameplay centered on the Crystal Idol

If nobody gets the Crystal Idol safely home before the clock reaches zero, the brawl is decided another way. Victory points collected throughout the game determine which mob claims the win.

With its savage creatures, distinct decks, time pressure, and race to seize the idol, Qu’arz turns every move into a contest of speed and cunning. Outsmart your foes, munch on power, and show that your mob deserves a place in the yearly showdown.
