About this board game

Dice Cup is a simultaneous dice-scoring game for 2–6 players, played in about 20 minutes. Across 12 rounds, everyone sees the same dice result, but each player must judge it from their own perspective and choose the best available scoring category.

At the start of each round, the dice are placed in the cup, shaken, and overturned onto the table. The cup is lifted for about three seconds so everyone can view the result, then placed back over the dice. While the result is hidden, each player selects a category by marking their scoring sheet.

Once every player has chosen, the cup is lifted again and the result is scored. The selected category is then unavailable to that player for the rest of the game, making every decision important. If dice are lying on top of one another, the roll must be repeated immediately.

  • Number scoring: count only the chosen number, such as fours, and multiply by its value.
  • Colour scoring: add the pips on the two dice in the selected colour.
  • Double: score 10 points for each double of the same colour.
  • Low numbers: add all dice showing ones, twos, and threes.
  • DICE CUP: add the pips on all the dice.

After 12 rounds, players total the three sections of their scoring sheets. The player with the highest overall score wins the DICE CUP challenge.

The viewing time can be adjusted for experience: beginners and younger players may use more time, while experienced players can shorten it to two seconds. Dice Cup also supports playing several games simultaneously, with additional columns used for repeated scoring.
