FlickFleet: Xeno Wars

About this board game

FlickFleet: Xeno Wars is a 2023 space-combat dexterity game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes. It is a standalone expansion for FlickFleet, allowing two players to play using only Xeno Wars.

Take command of one of two new asymmetrical alien species: The Hive or The Storm. Neither is able or willing to converse with the humans from the base game, and their fleets offer very different approaches to battle.

• The Hive: Organic ships rapidly heal and release a seemingly endless stream of parasitic boarding pods. These pods can quickly destroy a ship from the inside out.
• The Storm: A highly manoeuvrable fleet with incredible firepower and more resilient shield generators than the human ships. Storm vessels are generally weaker in defence, favouring attacks followed by a retreat to a safe distance.

Flick your ships into position, then flick dice from them at opposing ships to inflict damage and degrade their systems. The physical flicking mechanism puts movement, attacks, and positioning directly into your hands as the alien fleets clash.

Xeno Wars can also be combined with the FlickFleet base game and the previous Scenario and Scenery Pack, Box of Flicks 1, and Box of Flicks 2 expansions. This supports games of up to four players, or five when Box of Flicks 2 is included.

As with the base game and earlier expansions, FlickFleet: Xeno Wars comes in standard and deluxe editions. The deluxe edition features engraving on all pieces.
