Space Maze

About this board game

Space Maze is a 45-minute eurogame for 2–4 players, in which alien species compete to steal an ancient relic from a massive structure floating in space.

At the heart of the game is a maze of red, blue, and yellow doorways. When two doorways touch, their colours can combine to form a secondary colour—unless both doorways share the same colour. The maze’s colour combinations determine which routes are available to each alien.

Every player controls three aliens: one green, one orange, and one purple. Each alien can pass only through doorways that form its corresponding secondary colour, so movement depends on finding or creating the right connections. Players must continuously change the maze as they work their way toward the relic.

As the aliens draw closer together, players can get in one another’s way. A maze change that helps one species may disrupt another’s plans—or prevent a rival from grabbing the relic. Spreading your chances across multiple approaches may be safest, but a bold rush can sometimes pay off.

In Space Maze, careful plans can be overturned by an unexpected opponent move. The result is a competitive puzzle of timing, positioning, and constantly changing colour pathways.
