About this board game

Glik is a light abstract strategy print-and-play game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. Each player aims to transport all of their pieces from their starting positions to their home positions.

The central movement rule gives Glik its distinctive character. Pieces move in one direction until they hit a wall or one of the special blocker pieces. This creates a focused challenge in which movement and positioning matter as players work toward their destinations.

While advancing your own pieces is essential, Glik is also about interfering with opponents. The blocker pieces can prevent progress, making the shared play area a contest of routes, obstacles, and timing. Players must consider how their pieces move and how the available blocking positions affect everyone else.

  • Players: 2–4
  • Playing time: about 30 minutes
  • Format: print-and-play
  • Objective: move all your pieces from their starting positions to their home positions
  • Movement: pieces continue in one direction until they meet a wall or a special blocker piece

Glik uses the same accessories as its sibling game, Glak, making it part of a shared print-and-play game setting. Its rules focus on a small set of clear ideas: directional movement, destination planning, and blocking opponents.

Released in 2006, Glik offers a straightforward abstract strategy experience for groups of two to four. The combination of a simple goal and movement that continues until stopped gives each decision a direct effect on the board.
