About this board game

K’uh Nah is a quick press-your-luck game for 2–6 players, in which you build a pyramid while seeking the most perfectly shaped design.

Each card offers two icons and a number. These cards become the blocks available for your pyramid, but choosing the right one is only part of the challenge. You must generally place a lighter block on top of a heavier block, unless you can match the icons.

At each decision, you must weigh the cards on offer against the shape and rules of your growing pyramid. If you do not want any of the available cards, you must place a jade token on one of them. If you have no jade tokens remaining, you must take a card instead.

  • Build a pyramid from cards featuring icons and numbers.
  • Observe the lighter-on-heavier placement rule.
  • Use matching icons to make exceptions.
  • Press your luck when choosing between taking a card and placing a jade token.

The game’s scoring rewards careful construction. At the end, you score the value of the cards that are not supporting other cards, then subtract the jade tokens you still have.

In K’uh Nah, the winner is the player with the fewest points. Plan your structure, evaluate every available block, and decide when avoiding an unwanted card is worth adding a jade token to the display.
