Flapjack Flipout

About this board game

Flapjack Flipout is a 30-minute dexterity race for 2–6 players, challenging contestants to become the short order cook at Flappin’ Jack’s restaurant.

Each round begins when an Order Card is revealed. The card shows the type and number of pancakes required, sending everyone racing to the random community stacks to gather the ingredients they need.

Players place their selected pancakes face up on their griddles to identify them, then must successfully flip each one face down to cook the other side. Once flipped, the pancakes must be remembered by location, turning a frantic dexterity challenge into a test of memory as well.

• Race to collect the required pancakes from community stacks.
• Reveal pancake types on your griddle before flipping them face down.
• Remember where your cooked pancakes are located.
• Ring the bell when you believe you can fill the order.

If the order is correct, the player earns the Order Card as a point. A mistake carries a cost: that player sits out until the order is correctly filled, giving the other contestants an opportunity to complete it first.

With five types of pancakes, shared stacks, physical flipping, and simultaneous competition, Flapjack Flipout combines quick reactions with careful recall. Developed by Peter Newland and released in 2020, it puts players behind the griddle in a lively race to serve the right order.
