About this board game
Clue: The Haunted Mansion is a Disney-themed deduction game for 3–6 players, with play time of approximately 45 minutes. Set in Disney’s Haunted Mansion, it brings the classic Clue format together with familiar Disney characters, eerie rooms, secret passages, and a mystery that changes every time you play.
Instead of investigating a murder, players must determine which Disney character is being haunted by which of several Haunted Mansion ghosts. Search the mansion’s rooms, collect the right clues, and make the right deductions to solve the mystery. The game’s changing mystery gives each playthrough a different puzzle to investigate.
The special-edition setting is reflected in both the board and the character pieces. The mansion features locations such as the ballroom and portrait gallery, while the six character pieces are miniature versions of Disney favorites.
- Mickey and Minnie Mouse
- Donald and Daisy Duck
- Pluto
- Goofy
Clue: The Haunted Mansion was released in 2002 as the first of the tin-boxed Disney Theme Park Editions. These editions were sold only at Disney resorts and theme parks. A version with lower-quality components in a cardboard box was later made available in regular toy stores.
With its Haunted Mansion rooms, secret passages, Disney character pieces, and clue-based deductions, this edition offers a distinctive way to experience the familiar mystery-solving framework. As the mansion’s inscription promises: “We have 999 happy haunts, but there’s always room for one more…”
