Dreamers

About this board game

Dreamers is a 2-player card game released in 2022, with each game lasting about 25 minutes. Across five rounds, players navigate shifting alliances, hidden identities, and tense decisions in the dream world.

At the beginning of each round, both players randomly receive an Identity card. That secret role determines whether the players must cooperate or compete. With tension, bluffing, betrayal, and backstabbing at the heart of play, every action can make it harder to know whom to trust.

If both players are Dreamers, they must work together to open the three Dream Gates, leave the dream world, and win the round. But if one player is the Master of Nightmares, the game becomes a hidden confrontation:

• The Master of Nightmares must stop the Dreamer from leaving the dream world while avoiding exposure.
• The Dreamer must either escape the dream world or expose the Master of Nightmares.

Each round contains a certain number of turns. At the end of the round, both players collect their respective end-of-round points before the next identity-driven struggle begins. The player with the most points after all five rounds wins the game.

With its changing objectives and uncertain loyalties, Dreamers creates games full of twists and turns. You may need to follow your instincts, cooperate with your opponent, or question every move as you try to determine whether your feelings are leading you toward victory—or betraying you.
