About this board game

Hokusai is a 1–5-player color-building game with a play time of approximately 90 minutes, inspired by the work of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.

The game invites players into the creative process behind beautiful works of art. To create these works, you will need to choose the tools required for the process and develop an understanding of pigment mixing.

Color is at the heart of the experience. Players work with pigment mixing techniques while discovering Hokusai’s beautiful works and engaging with the tradition of ukiyo-e art.
