About this board game
You Robot is a team game for 4–10 players with a 20-minute play time, in which scientists guide their robot partners into position without saying anything.
Each team is made up of one scientist and one robot. The scientist’s challenge is to make the robot take the required position by showing movement cards, turning silent communication into the heart of the game.
Every round creates a race between the teams. Scientists must use the available movement cards to demonstrate what their robot partner should do, while the robots respond by moving toward the required position.
- Teams consist of a scientist and a robot.
- Scientists communicate by showing movement cards.
- Scientists cannot say anything while guiding their robots.
- The first team whose robot reaches the required position earns a point.
The first team to reach 5 points wins. This clear scoring goal gives each successful position immediate importance and keeps the game focused on quick, wordless cooperation.
Released in 2009, You Robot centers on the connection between instruction and action. Scientists must express movement without speech, and robots must interpret those demonstrations well enough to reach the target before the other teams.
With its scientist-and-robot team structure, movement-card communication, and race to five points, You Robot offers a concise group challenge built around silent guidance and shared timing.
