About this board game

Dôjima is a fast-paced dice-rolling and resource-management game for 2–6 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes. Set in Japan’s historic Dôjima Rice Exchange, the game puts players in charge of rice fields as they compete to earn the most gold pieces, or Ryô.

Each turn, players secretly choose one character from the available options. They then roll their dice and assign them to their rice fields, making careful decisions about how to gain the most resources from each field.

Managing a successful harvest requires more than simply rolling well. Players must water their rice fields, collect the resulting grain, and decide how to use the market to turn their harvest into value. The combination of hidden character selection, dice allocation, and resource management creates a compact challenge in which every decision can affect a farmer’s success.

  • Dice rolling and dice assignment
  • Hidden character selection
  • Rice-field and resource management
  • Grain collection and market sales

As the game progresses, players work to manage their fields efficiently and earn as many resources as possible. Selling rice in the market is the key to earning victory points at the end of the game, so successful play depends on turning careful field management into profitable sales.

With its focus on rice farming, market activity, and quick decisions, Dôjima offers an accessible contest for aspiring rice brokers and farmers alike. Become the most successful rice farmer and claim victory at the Dôjima Rice Exchange.
