About this board game
Lee’s Invincibles: Gettysburg Campaign of 1863 is a two-player Civil War strategy game covering Lee’s 1863 Gettysburg Campaign from Fredericksburg to Harrisburg, with games playable in about 120 minutes.
Take command as Lee and attempt what was not done historically: defeat the Union army, capture Washington, D.C., and secure independence for the Confederacy. Alternatively, play as Hooker or Meade, defeat Lee, drive his army into the Potomac, and force his surrender to end the war years early.
This focused campaign game presents the conflict through a dedicated map, campaign-specific rules, and a battle board. Its components are designed to support a complete game in a compact session while retaining the opposing strategic goals of the campaign.
- Designed for 2 players
- Approximately 120 minutes of play
- A sturdy 22-by-17-inch game map
- Blocks, labels, series rules, and campaign-specific rules
- A battle board and dice
Lee’s Invincibles: Gettysburg Campaign of 1863 is part of a broader series in which each box focuses on one or two particular campaigns of the American Civil War. The maps can be joined to lay out the Civil War in the Eastern Theater, extending across campaigns from 1861 to 1865.
For players who want to expand beyond this campaign, all three game boards can be combined for additional campaigns. Released in 2016, this volume offers a focused way to explore the Gettysburg Campaign while also serving as part of a larger Eastern Theater series.
