About this board game

They Live: The Card Game – Save The City/Enslave The City is an asymmetric multiplayer card game for 3–6 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes. Focused on strategy, teamwork, and deceit, it places hidden Invaders among a larger group of Humans.

The Humans outnumber the Invaders, but the Invaders know which players are on each team. Their challenge is to stay hidden, act human, and collect City cards that let them capture different areas of the city. The more City cards they hold, the closer they move toward victory.

For the Humans, survival depends on cooperation and suspicion. They must work out who among the group is an Invader and take them down before it is too late. Everyone begins losing health shortly after the game starts, and there is no avoiding it, so players must act quickly.

Each turn begins with new resources being drawn to the middle of the table. Players then take turns choosing and equipping the cards they need, creating opportunities to prepare, investigate, and pursue their team’s objective.

  • Humans: Identify and defeat the hidden Invaders.
  • Invaders: Remain concealed while collecting City cards.
  • Shared resources: Weapons, ammunition, City parts, and more enter the center of the table.
  • Fast pressure: Health begins to fall soon after the game starts.

With competing goals concealed within the group, They Live: The Card Game turns every choice and accusation into part of the struggle for the city.
