About this board game

Skyrise is a strategy board game for 2–4 players, with play lasting around 90 minutes. In it, humanity’s greatest visionaries compete to build a magnificent city in the sky devoted to art, science, and beauty.

Players prove their genius through a brilliant spatial auction system, competing to win sites where they can build. Every decision contributes to the city’s growing skyline while shaping the prestige of the artisan behind it.

Success comes from creating beautiful neighborhoods, appealing to wealthy patrons, and pursuing both secret and public objectives. The game also invites players to create a magnificent Wonder, offering a way to solidify their legacy as the city takes shape.

Skyrise tells an interactive story of a growing cityscape, where scarce resources, hard decisions, and ever-rising stakes keep the competition compelling until the final scores are revealed.

Inspired by Sebastien Pauchon’s 2008 Spiel des Jahres–recommended game Metropolys, Skyrise offers a fresh setting and a distinctive approach to building, bidding, and competing for recognition. Only one artisan can be remembered as the greatest.
