About this board game
Fit to Print is a tile-laying puzzle game for 1–6 players, with each game taking about 30 minutes. Designed by Peter McPherson and illustrated with Ian O’Toole’s charming woodland world, it puts you in charge of a local newspaper in bustling Thistleville.
As an editor, you have only a few hectic hours to assemble the day’s front page. Simultaneously collect newspaper tiles and stack them on your desk, grabbing major stories before rival papers do while finding the photographs and advertisements you need. When you think you have enough, call “Layout!” and begin solving the spatial puzzle of fitting everything together.
Your page must balance centerpieces, articles, photographs, and ads. Take too few tiles and you may leave valuable space empty; take too many and some content may need to be cut. Once your layout is ready, call “Print” to get your paper off the press first and gain your choice of centerpiece for the next round.
- Over 100 unique newspaper tiles
- Six characters with their own special abilities
- Three decks of Breaking News cards
- Real-time play for up to six players
Across three days, compete to become Thistleville’s most newsworthy editor. The combination of collecting, timing, and careful tile placement creates a fresh puzzle each time you play.
If real-time competition is not your preferred pace, Fit to Print also includes alternative modes. Slo-Mode lets players take turns drafting from a shared market, while Puzzle Mode challenges you to arrange a specific set of tiles for the highest score. Relax with a solo puzzle or race your friends to the press.
