Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game is a two-player card game inspired by the weird fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, with typical games lasting around 30 minutes.

Enter a world where conflicts rage between cosmic powers pursuing unfathomable purposes and human agencies dedicated to stopping them. The game embraces the suspense, adventure, and eerie unknown of the Cthulhu Mythos, placing players in control of some of its many competing forces.

Each game offers substantial interaction, open-information analysis, careful planning, and strategic decision-making. The wide range of possible faction combinations ensures that different pairings call for different approaches and create a highly replayable experience.

The Living Card Game format combines a focused game experience with the flexibility to customize how you play. As your deck develops, its cards support the strategy you choose while encouraging fresh experimentation across faction combinations.

Originally released as a collectible card game, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game later transitioned to Fantasy Flight Games’ Living Card Game format. Monthly Asylum Pack expansions were eventually replaced by larger quarterly-ish expansion boxes, creating an evolving card pool for deck customization.

Fantasy Flight Games ended development and organized play support for the game in 2015. Even so, its Lovecraftian setting, quick two-player sessions, and emphasis on strategic deck construction continue to define its distinctive appeal.
