About this board game

Black Forest is a board game for 1–4 players with an approximately 120-minute play time, set in a developing domain in the Black Forest. Starting with a small domain, you must find the right specialists and build the infrastructure needed to expand.

Travel from village to village to enlist specialists, then exploit their abilities to gather resources, place new landscape tiles, and construct buildings. Ponds and fields can become part of your growing domain, while livestock and glass production add further ways to develop it.

The game features Uwe Rosenberg’s resource wheels, first made famous in Glass Road. Two wheels on your tableau help track your resources and production as you decide how to use the specialists and buildings available to you.
