A Game of Thrones: Catan – Brotherhood of the Watch is a 3–4 player strategy game with an approximate 75-minute play time, released in 2017. Based on the classic Catan game, it challenges the Brothers of the Night’s Watch to develop the Gift while defending Westeros from Wildling forces.

Players gather five resources from the areas of the Gift: lumber, brick, wool, grain, and ore. The barren Ice Fields produce nothing. Use these resources to build roads, settlements, and keeps, recruit guards for patrol, or buy development cards that can bring victory points and recognition.

The first player to reach 10 victory points normally becomes the new Lord Commander. However, competition for points is only part of the challenge. Tormund Giantsbane moves through the Gift, robbing resources, while Wildlings gather in the Frostfangs and attempt to breach the Wall.

• Recruit up to seven guards to defend your section of the Wall.
• Protect the Gift from Wildlings, Climbers, and Giants.
• Use a hero’s unique ability up to twice during the game.
• Choose whether to retain your hero or take another from the available roster of eleven.

When the Wildlings attack, guards must hold the Wall. If they outnumber the invaders, the defenses stand; otherwise, Wildlings enter the Gift and pillage settlements and keeps. Climbers can slip past guards, while Giants can force at least one guard to desert.

Each player begins with a hero determined by play order, including Jeor Mormont, Samwell Tarly, Bowen Marsh, or Othell Yarwyck. In A Game of Thrones: Catan – Brotherhood of the Watch, three breaches end the game immediately and create an alternate victory: the player with the most guards still holding their posts wins the title of Lord Commander.
