About this expansion

Dixit 3: Journey is a 2012 expansion for 3–6 players, offering approximately 30 minutes of fantastic and surreal storytelling gameplay with Dixit.

This expansion adds 84 new cards, each featuring artwork designed to inspire imaginative clues and unexpected interpretations. Use the cards with the components of the Dixit base game to add variety to your sessions.

Dixit 3: Journey requires the base game and does not include a board, movers, or tokens. In the United States and Australia, these cards were initially packaged as a standalone game titled Dixit: Journey; in some markets, the release was initially known as Dixit 3.

During each round, one player becomes the Storyteller. They choose a card from their hand and tell a story inspired by it. Every other player secretly selects a card from their own hand and gives it to the Storyteller, who shuffles all submissions before revealing them.

Players then vote for the card they believe was chosen by the Storyteller. The scoring rewards clues that are neither too obvious nor too obscure:

• If no one or everyone votes for the Storyteller’s card, the Storyteller receives no points.
• If the Storyteller’s card receives some, but not all, votes, the Storyteller scores three points.
• Players score for identifying the correct card or receiving votes on their submitted card.

The first player to reach 30 points wins. With its additional deck of evocative artwork, Dixit 3: Journey gives the base game more cards for storytelling, secret submissions, and group voting.
