About this expansion

Colt Express: Horses & Stagecoach is a 2015 expansion for 2–6 players that adds a 3D stagecoach, horses, and new ways to play to the Colt Express experience, with games lasting about 60 minutes.

The stagecoach travels alongside the train from the base game, creating a fresh target for the bandits. With their new horses, bandits can move faster between train cars and even jump into the stagecoach.

A guard armed with a shotgun protects the stagecoach. A punch can eject him toward the roof of the train, but he continues to annoy bandits from there. Once the guard is gone, the bandits can claim a new strongbox and search the coach for valuable hostages.

Hostages can provide a ransom at the end of the game, but each one also has a negative effect that troubles the bandit who holds them for the rest of the game. This creates another tempting decision for players weighing immediate gains against lasting disadvantages.

• Stagecoach: Introduces a new 3D target alongside the train.
• Guard: Protects the coach and can be sent onto the train roof.
• Hostages and strongbox: Offer new rewards with added risks.
• Whiskey flasks: Spread through the train and enhance the bandits’ faculties.

New round cards and a new event add further variety to every robbery. Designed for the 2015 Spiel des Jahres winner, Colt Express: Horses & Stagecoach expands the train robbery with faster movement, extra targets, disruptive effects, and more tactical opportunities.
