About this expansion

Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: New York is a single-army expansion for Neuroshima Hex! for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes.

New York survived the atomic bombs by becoming a fortress among the ruins. It now serves as the capital of a small state bearing the same name, defending the ideals of Free America while launching a crusade to restore the human world.

The city is also a fortified police state. Its citizens trade obedience for safety, while new troops venture into the wilderness to find resources and prewar technologies. Along the way, they recruit useful people and remove opponents wherever they can.

As an army, New York stands out through the diversity of its units. It includes many shooting units, giving the force a broad range of options. Its Headquarters provides additional endurance points, while its spies can use enemy modules.

  • Strengths: diverse units, numerous shooting units, a durable Headquarters, and spies that can use enemy modules.
  • Weaknesses: a smaller ability to create strong offensive coalitions and a Headquarters special ability that is primarily defensive.

These traits give New York a distinct identity within Neuroshima Hex! Its fortified homeland, varied troops, and unusual spies reflect a society trying to impose order on a ruined world.

Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: New York was originally released as part of the two-army expansion Neuroshima Hex! Babel13.
