BANG! Gold Rush

About this expansion

BANG! Gold Rush is an expansion for the BANG! card game for 4–7 players, with games taking about 40 minutes. Released in 2011, it can be played with the base game alone or combined with other BANG! expansions.

This expansion introduces eight new characters and two new mechanisms that change how the game unfolds. Players can collect gold nuggets during the game and spend them to buy equipment, giving their character new abilities and opening the way to different strategies.

Equipment adds another decision to each game of BANG! Gold Rush. Collecting gold and choosing when to purchase equipment gives players an additional way to develop their character while pursuing the outcome of the game.

• The Shadow Gunslinger variant, allowing eliminated players to return temporarily

The Shadow Gunslinger variant keeps eliminated players involved. When a dead player’s turn comes around, that player temporarily re-enters the game and takes a turn as if still alive, creating the possibility of influencing the final result even after being shot down.

With gold to gather, equipment to acquire, new characters to explore, and threats that can emerge from beyond the grave, BANG! Gold Rush offers fresh ways to approach the BANG! card game. It is a flexible expansion for groups that want to use it with the base game or mix it into a broader collection of expansions.
