About this expansion
Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: Neojungle is a single-army expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. Originally released in 2012 as part of the two-army expansion Neuroshima Hex! Babel13, it introduces the threatening Neojungle force to the Neuroshima Hex! setting.
After the destructive war, a huge mutated jungle began spreading through the South. Driven by an ungoverned survival instinct, Neojungle devours human territory and assimilates everything in its path, transforming animals and people into mutated beasts and symbiotic organisms. This slow but overwhelming organism continues forward, destroying the next threat it encounters.
The defining feature of this army is the ability to create a Motherland. Once established, a single Module can help every unit belonging to that Motherland at the same time. Through this shared support, units that are weak on their own can become fast, efficient killers.
- Key advantage: A Motherland allows one Module to help all units that belong to it.
- Key limitation: The army has relatively low mobility and no shooters.
- Important weakness: Without a Motherland, its units are comparatively weak and slow.
Neojungle therefore revolves around making its units work together through the Motherland rather than relying on individual strength. Its powerful collective potential is balanced by limited mobility, the absence of shooters, and the difficulty of operating effectively before a Motherland is in place.
For players exploring the factions of Neuroshima Hex!, Neojungle offers a distinct army identity built around mutation, assimilation, and coordinated support. Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: Neojungle turns a spreading green organism into a force that can become far more dangerous when its units act as one.
