Lockup: Breakout is a strategic board game for 1-5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Across six rounds, players compete to earn the most reputation stars while navigating the prison of Kulbak.

Rumors speak of secret passages beneath the prison. These crumbling catacombs were once used to house fallen heroes, and may conceal the tomb of Khathandor, greatest of the Dragul warriors. They may also hold a crack in the prison’s outer wall, offering a possible path to freedom.

Send your seekers into the tunnels by lantern light to explore their hidden history. Above ground, dedicate crew to influence the legendary inhabitants of Kulbak and gain their favor. Strike a deal with Warden Mercy, make a truce with Masik and his Starlit Door cultists, or commune with the spirit of Khathandor.

Every opportunity can contribute to your growing reputation, but the prison remains dangerous and the guards are always a threat. Balance your efforts as you investigate the tunnels, pursue treasure, and seek a way beyond Kulbak’s walls.

As in the core game, the player with the most reputation stars at the end of the six rounds wins. With its blend of catacomb exploration, character influence, crafting, recruitment, and tense reputation-building, Lockup: Breakout expands the struggle for gold and freedom within the legendary prison.
