About this expansion

Tawantinsuyu: The Golden Age is an expansion for 1–4 players, with a playing time of about 120 minutes, released in 2022. It enriches the Inca realm with four modules focused on worship, conquered nations, noble citizens, and solo play.

The Way of the Sun module introduces two alternative layouts for the Sun Temple, giving players new ways to approach this central feature. With Vassals of the Inca, a new secondary action lets you use the specialties of other nations conquered by your armies—or by other players’ armies.

The largest addition is Nobles and Newcomers. This module introduces a new Building type, newcomer workers, and several new Passive Buildings. As you expand the empire, you must keep the nobles happy and construct palaces worthy of their status while attracting newcomers from beyond the mountain ranges of Antikuna.

  • Way of the Sun: Two alternative Sun Temple layouts.
  • Vassals of the Inca: A secondary action for using conquered nations’ specialties.
  • Nobles and Newcomers: New Buildings, workers, and Passive Buildings.
  • Pachamama: An improved and streamlined solo opponent that replaces Axomamma.

The Pachamama module provides an updated solo opponent for the game, while eight additional Passive Buildings can be added whether or not you use any of the other modules. Together, these options let Tawantinsuyu: The Golden Age explore the empire’s Golden Age through new layouts, abilities, citizens, and challenges.
