About this expansion

Argent: Festival of Masks is a 2018 expansion for 2–5 players with a listed play time of 150 minutes. It introduces a new way to play Argent and adds a new resource to race for during play rounds.

Masks provide continuous benefits for an entire round, giving them a role similar to some Bell Tower Cards. Their effects can support different approaches to the game, helping players reduce costs, improve efficiency, or harass their opponents.

Although masks are a resource players compete to obtain, they do not bring the round to an end when they have all been taken. This creates room to continue playing after the masks are claimed, while the benefits remain active for the rest of the round.

• Race for a new resource during play rounds.
• Use masks for continuous, round-long benefits.
• Have only one mask at a time.
• Apply masks to reduce costs, improve efficiency, or harass opponents.

The expansion’s mask system is designed to become the engine for key strategies. Since each player can have only one mask, choosing when and how to pursue these benefits is central to making the most of the new play style.

Argent: Festival of Masks also includes the three cards from Kickstarter Promo Pack #1. Together, the new resource and additional cards offer another way to approach Argent while preserving the importance of round-based decisions and strategic competition.
