About this expansion
Madeira: The Harvester is a mini-expansion for Madeira for 2–4 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. Released in 2013, it adds one character card that changes how a particular crop can be performed during the game.
The expansion includes the Erntehelfer, or The Harvester, as a new character. It is designed to be used alongside the four regular characters, creating an additional option during the character and building sequence.
- Includes one Harvester character card.
- After the four regular characters are distributed in Phase A, the Harvester is placed in the remaining empty building.
- In Phase B, a player may place a guild die or pirate die on the Harvester to perform a particular crop in the Harvester’s region.
The Harvester’s position determines the region connected to this special crop opportunity. Its timing is clearly defined: the card enters the remaining empty building after the regular character distribution in Phase A, while its action becomes available in Phase B.
As a compact addition, Madeira: The Harvester focuses on a single character and one specific alternative placement. It offers an extra way to use a guild or pirate die while preserving the core structure described for the regular character distribution and the following phase.
The mini-expansion was included in Spielbox Magazine 7/2013. For players looking to add the Harvester card to Madeira, this small release provides a focused new option centered on regional crop performance.
